Hellen Wathaya Weru is one of a few women who owns their estate. At over 14 hectares the Challem Estate resides near the slopes of Mount Kenyan at an impressive 1800 metres above sea level. All cherries are hand-picked and sorted to ensure only the very best and most ready of beans. Cherries are then left to ferment between 16-24 hours before being soaked and washed under clean water. Kenyan processing and quality control is regarded as the best in the world.
